Kate did an amazing recreation of a picture of my chihuahua, Lola, who we had recently lost. It was the perfect way to memorialize our little girl. You could tell Kate puts her heart into what she does and she was able to turn it around very quickly. The portrait captured all of the essence of our Lola's personality and is perfect! Love having it my office to look at every day.

The first work Kathryn created for me was a dahlia. I have taken hundreds of photographs of flowers and dahlias in particular, and Kathryn took what I saw through a lens and made my simple photograph evolve into something much more tangible. Her colored pencil drawing of a purple dahlia blooms out of its frame with such vivid imagery, that it captures what I wanted to capture with my camera, but could not. It is breathtaking in its beauty and is one of my most treasured possessions.

Kathryn has created such beautiful artwork for me and each piece is even more impressive than the last. She is able to capture more than what the eye sees. She is able to bring out onto a canvas or other material images and feelings that usually are reserved for dreams. Whether it is created with ink, oil, pencil or mixed media, each piece of work I have from Kathryn has added to my life.

Kathryn's imagination, synchronicity and ability to really "get" what is hard to express in words to blossom out of colors and objects is a precious gift. I am fortunate enough to possess some of her works and be able to admire them each day and night.
